How is Orbit different from Jira or Linear?
Orbit takes Jira's depth (issues, workflows, roles, analytics) and Linear's speed (instant boards, keyboard-first search) but skips the enterprise complexity and the enterprise pricing. If your team is 10–200 people and Jira feels heavy while Trello feels shallow, Orbit is built for you.
Is there really a free plan?
Yes — up to 3 projects, 5 team members, and 500 issues, free forever, with every core feature included: real-time boards, search, comments, mentions, and notifications. No credit card required to sign up.
What exactly does Pro include, and what does it cost?
Pro costs ₹249 per user per month (about $3 — less than half of Linear's $8). It raises your limits to 1,000 projects, 1,000 team members, and 100,000 issues, and adds full analytics with CSV export plus priority founder support. Simple, honest, no hidden seat charges.
Where is my data stored, and is it safe?
Each organization's data is fully isolated at the database level — no other tenant can query it, and access is enforced on every request, not just the UI. Sessions use rotating refresh tokens with automatic theft detection, and all credentials are hashed. You can export all your issue data to CSV at any time.
Do you support INR billing?
Pricing is in rupees by design, and full INR billing (UPI, cards, net-banking) is on our near-term roadmap. Early-access teams lock founding-customer pricing in INR permanently.
Can I import my existing issues?
CSV import is coming. During early access, I'll help you migrate your data personally — that's the perk of talking to the person building the product.
What does "early access" mean?
Orbit is built and running, and I'm onboarding a small group of teams to shape the roadmap. Early-access teams get free Pro features, direct founder support, and their feedback goes straight into the product.
